Turkana Kenya : This is as real as it gets. You know for me, before I took that trip to Kenya, my first trip I had ever taken to Africa, it did not seem real. I heard the sad stories but not knowing anyone there, it's just numbers & words. I can hear all day long 5500 people will day in the next 24 hours but unless I knew one of the 5500, it meant nothing because it's not reality. Once I experienced first hand, ones I held these children, loved these families did my heart break in half. I made friends with these sweet people, they welcomed us with what little they had. To bond as we spent many days with them to then leave knowing many will be gone before we return.
